Linear Drying Time Recorder :: Model Elcometer 5300

Aparat pentru determinarea timpului de uscare a vopselei prin inregistrare liniara, cu pana la 10 pozitii de testare.
Zece tije cu varfuri semisferice, montate intr-un sistem glisant, sunt puse in contact cu filmul umed.
Se porneste de la un capat al probei si se deplaseaza de-a lungul acesteia.
Timpul de uscare este calculat in functie de distanta parcursa; aceasta se masoara cu ajutorul unei rigle gradate.
Vopseaua este mai intai aplicata pe placute de sticla cu latime de 25mm si lungime de 70cm .
Utilizand aplicatorul de film Elcometer 3505 puteti aplica pana la 5 produse simultan.

Greutatea de pe fiecare bila este de 11 g, desi se pot monta si alte greutati suplimentare ce pot aduce intreaga sarcina pana la 21 g

Linear Drying Time Recorder
designed to determine paint drying time by linear recording, with up to 10 positions (5 each side of the centre column) tested simultaneously.
Ten rods with hemispherical tips, fitted to a carriage, are brought into contact with the fresh films at one end of the test piece and moved lengthwise.
The drying time is calculated from the distance travelled, measured using a graduated rule along the edge, corresponding to the various stages observed on the trace.
The coatings are applied beforehand on glass strips 25mm wide and 700mm long. Using the Elcometer 3505 Cube Film Applicators, it is possible to apply up to five coatings simultaneously on a glass plate.
The drying time recorder automatically stops at the end of travel
The load on each ball is 11g (0.37oz), although additional weights can bring this load up to 21g

Drying Time Recorder tool to be used as an optional test tool for the TQC Automatic Film Applicators.
This device allows the user to accurately define the drying time of various types of coatings within the time range of 1 minute to 48 hours.
A drying time recorder with many advanced features such as:

The drying time recorder option can be easily clamped on any standard TQC Automatic film applicator with firmware 2.01 and above.

Timpul de uscare se masoara cu ajutorul un disc circular gradat din plastic cu ajutorul caruia poti converti distanta parcursa in ore si minute.

Technical data
The Drying Time recorder consists of a stepper motor mounted on a rubber tipped tripod.
The arm and ball assembly has a counter-poised vertical stylus consisting of a Teflon 3/8 in. (10 mm) ball stylus and a counter weight to adjust to zero. The Teflon stylus typically under a 12g load (weight supplied) is moved in a 360 degree arc at a pre-selected fixed speed.
A shaft arm with Teflon ball scriber produces a 2" diameter circular path. Drying time is observed and recorded as the ball penetrates the film and produces a circular groove over a period of time.
After drying is completed a clear plastic time template is placed over the area so that the drying time record can be converted into minutes or hours.

Tester utilizat pentru determinarea timpului de uscare necesar vopselelor utilizate la marcajele rutiere pentru a nu adera la anvelopele autovehiculelor prin simularea presiunii aplicate de anvelopa la trecerea peste marcaj.

Drying properties, shrinking, mud-crack, cracking and porosity are important characteristics which should be tested during the manufacture of coating materials and fillers. By using drying gauges, reliable product data can be determined by which disagreeable surprises at the users side will be spared. The no-pick-up time is the drying time required for no-pick-up by the tire of an automobile.
